Well done to all of our year 11 students on an excellent set of GCSE results.
- GCSE English – 77% grades 9-4
- GCSE mathematics – 69% grades 9-4
- 65% passed both English and maths
There were strong performances across all subjects, which reflects the school’s commitment to a broad and balanced curriculum. These include traditional subjects such as geography, history, French and art (where 5 students achieved the top grade 9). Vocational subjects performed well too and engineering was the school’s highest performing subject overall.
Overall, students have made very good progress in relation to their prior attainment. (Last year Woodham was third in County Durham for progress). Progress 8 is likely to be positive once again.
15 students achieved one or more grade 9 (above A*; top 2% nationally)
Identical twins Eve and Holly Killip, both passed the same 11 subjects, achieving the same grade in 8 out of the 11. Between them they achieved 5 grade 9s.
